GOOGLE HANGOUTS with FARFETCH and BOMPAS & PARR

8 December 2013

My email inbox usually consists of Pinterest and Twitter alerts, spammy sale emails and ummm order confirmations so when opening it up one morning to find an email from the friendly folks at Farfetch asking if I was interested in participating in a Google Hangout with Bompas and Parr, those kooky culinary wizards, I was alllllllllll over it!

Last summer, my friend Luan and I got to experience a Bompas and Parr creation at Kew Gardens, with the Tutti Frutti Boating Lake, so I was pretty excited to get to chat to these mad men.

Now- working full time and trying to win the internet is a tricky little game. I had steam coming out of my ears in one of those ohgodIhavetobeinthreeplacesatonce moments. It all worked out in the end, as you can see!

Spot awkward me!

Don't ever try to video chat in a room with automatic lighting. As luck would have it for me, as soon as it was my turn to ask the guys a question, the lights went out in the room and I had no choice but to carry on talking in the dark. Winner.

My question for Sam and Harry was- what was the trickiest concept they have ever had to execute? Which happened to be the time they had to make a giant chocolate climbing wall at Alton Towers for Peter Andre to climb. Of course!

Each of their projects and events have such a wonderful sense of fun and humour, I can't wait to see what else they come up with in the future. A maze full of giant jelly babies? A chocolate waterfall? Oh wait...they've done that one.

*Just a teeny update* You can watch the Hangout on Farfetch's Youtube channel, here. Take notes of the delicious cocktail Bompas and Parr whip up and witness the absolute lighting fail when my turn comes up during question time.
